2008 Hendrick Motorports Chevy Bowtie Past Daytona 500 Champions Collectors Set diecast by Motorsports Authentics.
On February 22, 1959 the first Daytona 500 was run before a crowd of 41,000 fans. This 200 lap, 500 mile, race is held annually in Daytona Beach, Florida at the start of the NASCAR season. Widely regarded as the most important and prestigious race on the NASCAR calendar the Daytona 500 brought more popularity to the sport over the years granting it the title of "The Great American Race".
This February 2008, the Daytona 500 will celebrate its 50th anniversary. To honor this milestone in NASCAR history and recognize the fact that there are 3 of the past Daytona 500 winners on the same team, combining for 5 of the past 10 wins in this historic race, Motorsports Authentics is proud to present this Chevy Bowtie Tin.
On the top of the tin the Jeff Gordon's No. 24 is centered with his signature and the dates of his three victories. Flanked on the left and right side of the tin are Dale Earnhardt Jr's No. 88 and Jimmie Johnson's No. 48, both with their victory date. A special anniversary car was created to commemorate this historic running of the Daytona 500 and rounds out this unique tin set. The 3 driver cars within the bowtie tin are replicas of the cars being run at the 50th running of the Daytona 500. |
